Vacation Bible School

Journey Church and Northside Baptist partnered together to minster to children of Monticello through Vacation Bible School. We had a blast. All of the children were engaged at every moment. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Children made many different crafts during Bible school. They made sunglass holders, Hawaiian instruments, and surf board picture frames.

Snacks were another great highlight of the weekend. The children actually got to decorate cookies with icing, M & Ms and pretzels. They were making surf boards and flip flops.

Of course there was recreation and yes that is Michael teaching it.

Yes, that is Ashton holding an iPod. No, it is not misplaced by being in this post. Ashton actually won this iPod at Bible School. He won it for bringing the most friends. He brought 3 friends this weekend. He was so excited because he has wanted one for at least 2 years now. Ashton said, “No one is going to play with my iPod, not even Daddy.”

It was a fast and fun VBS. Thanks to Journey for joining with us. We couldn’t stop talking about VBS on Sunday morning. I know that the folks at Northside had a great time and loved Journey being with us. Maybe we can join together next year. Congrats to Ashton for bringing the most friends!
