Little Rock Trip
June 19th, 2008 by Lou

On Monday, we had an appointment at Children’s Hospital for Kaylee to see the nutritionist. She is the 5th percentile. The appointment went great. I thought it was going to be the the bad experience I had with Dr. Reinhart and being treat like I was not doing my job. This nutritionist was very nice and complimented us on all that we did for Kaylee. She figured out that Kaylee needs about 1000 calories a day because she is extremely active for her age. Kaylee would not be still the entire time in the doctor’s office. We were told to add cheese or butter to everything that she eats. Also, we are going to have to get a routine down of 3 meals and 3 snacks. Every meal will consist of 4 ounces of milk. The doctor was not that worried about her and said we are shooting for 20 pounds (she is 18 right now). After the 20 pounds we will shoot for more. She told us to take it a pound at a time and don’t look at the big overall picture. I had a very pleasant visit with her. Michael also had fun at Children’s, like he always does when he goes.

After the doctor’s visit, we went shopping. MY FAVORITE. We bought our anniversary gift. A 19 inch flat panel TV. That’s right the Arnold’s are now getting satellite TV. I think Michael was just tired of me hogging the computer and watching the shows online. We then went shopping at Target. Another of my favorite places in Little Rock.

After shopping, we went to see my best friend Carolyn. Carolyn, her husband, and their exchange student went to eat with us at the Whole Hog. The Whole Hog is the absolute best barbecue I have eaten. I loved it and I don’t even like barbecue. After this, we took Kaylee to Burns Park to let her get rid of her extra energy before we got in the car to come home. We had a great time in Little Rock.
