Enough said!
I am tired of hearing many people complain because McCain didn’t win, including my hubby! I think it is about time that the world has chosen a black president. I know he is mixed, but his birth certificate does say African American. His father was from Kenyan, which is more black than some of the black here.
I can understand your concerns for Obama winning. I would have felt the same way if McCain won, but I would be over it now. That is what is so great about our country. The majority wins.
I was for Obama because of his views on education and on the war in Iraq. I believe that funding needs to be looked into funding preschool and afterschool programs. I have seen them work, especially for our at-risk students. The lower income families need a little boost. In these families the parents works 2 or 3 jobs to make the ends meet. They are exhausted when they get home. They don’t have time to help their child with homework when it is 10:00 at night. You say they should make time, some times you just can’t. I have seen this so many times with families that I teach. Those children are truly loved by their families, but Mom and Dad are working their butts off just to give them a roof over their head.
I do believe that we need to pull troops from Iraq. Does anyone see the Vietnam War starting all over again. Obama was to pull in the United Nations to help. This should have happened in the first place in my opinion.
Whether you were for McCain or Obama, you should be pro-American. Be happy with the decision and pray for it. Our country needs lots of prays (just like it did the last 8 years when Bush was in office). Our country needs us.
History has been made. We now have a black president. I never thought that this would happen. To be honest, yes I wanted to see this happen.
I am Democrat in almost all ways. I look over the abortion issues that most cannot. I think there are more issues than that that are important. Like education, health care and the war. In all those areas, I tend to go more for Obama.
I actually did not help in the matter to let this happen. You can chew me out all you want. I actually did not vote. Well, I voted for everything but President. I have prayed over this issue and got no peace from it. So I decided not to cast my vote for the presidential election. I think neither candidate was very moral, but I think both could run the country effectively. I was going to vote Obama until I say a news story on him voting for after birth abortion. Basically babies that survive the abortion would be left on a table to die. So that was what made my decision not to vote.
I know this may make me a hypocrit but I am glad to see history changing in this matter. No matter what candidate you for we must now unite and support Obama and Biden.
What a great and busy month it has been. I think we have been on the road every weekend this month. Last weekend would have to be my most excited vacation. Michael and I went to Jonesboro for a reunion of the Wesley Methodist Student Union at Arkansas State. It was very exciting to see friends that you have not seen in forever. The Wesley is were Michael and I met, so it was kind of exciting to return to where such a wonderful event took place. Here are a few pictures from the weekend.
Why is it that I am always with the guys?
