It’s My Wonderful Life

Here is a video from footage of the aftermath of the Stuttgart tornado. I believe this tornado was very unexpected. We were in Casscoe (10 minutes outside of Stuttgart) just before this hit. We decided to drive home to Monticello before all the storms hit (didn’t even think of tornadoes.) We made it to DeWitt when the tornado hit. As we were going through DeWitt the tornado siren went off. What a scary feeling? Needless to say I was watching the trees until we made it home.

After we got home we realize what had happen. I am in awe over what we missed and what we could have been involved in. God really took care of us. He let me be calm because I am really scared of storms. I have run from them all my life while living in a trailer in Lake Village. I can remember the night we ran and my sister fell and busted her head open. We had no idea until we got where we were trying to go. My sister, who is autistic, doesn’t really feel pain. Needless to say we were in the emergency room most of the night get stitches. This is the main reason that storms are not on my good lists and the fact that I knew someone personally who was struck by lightning.

All I can say is thank God he protected me and my family.

For years, I have been wondering about this note on the ATM machine at Simmons Bank.

The pink note in the corner reads: “This is not a trash can. It is for deposit only. Thanks.”

Why? Why must we put a sign on the ATM machine to tell people that it is not a trash can? Is this not obvious. What does this say for our town and the kind of people in it?

I have writer’s block. I never get writer’s block. I can write for days on one subject without getting tired. Well, now the cat has my finger. I volunteered to write a faith story for my church. I was thinking, yeah I can do this. No problem, I love to write. WRONG!!!! I have tried all day to write the story. I have probably wrote about 20, but they just were not good enough. If I had a type writer, instead of a computer, you would see those balled up sheets of paper all over the floor. All I can say, is that I have WRITER’S BLOCK!! I would blog more, but I have WRITER’S BLOCK!

I am so proud of AT & T. They have done something incredible. You can now get DSL without a phone line. Woo hoo. So has of the 15th, the Arnold’s will have no home phone. On the 16th, however, we will be equip with fast internet. I can’t wait we will be saving about $20 a month and have faster DSL than we did before. Check it out. It will be worth your while.
