Fun With Cousins
Jun 15th, 2010 by Lou

This weekend has been packed full of great memories for Ashton and Kaylee.   Every year, the Payer Family (Michael’s Mom’s side) has a family reunion.  Family reunions are always great because you get to see family that you don’t see a lot.   This weekend, Ashton and Kaylee got to spend Sunday with their cousins (Emma, Nathan, and Rosie).  They had a blast.   They played hard on the playground at the community center, then went off to Memaws house where they all picked blueberries and rode on the tractor with Pappaw.   These memories can be treasured for ever.

Fun at the Grandparents
Jun 13th, 2010 by Lou

This weekend, we have had a semi-vacation in Casscoe, Arkansas.  This is where MIchael’s parents live.   We are actually here for a family reunion.  Even though there is not much to do here, the kids absolutely love being in the country.  They get to ride on the 4-wheeler, find box turtles, walk to the mailbox, go down to the river, etc.   Basically, they get to do things they don’t normally do in the city.  Here are a few pics of their fun.

They really have a great time when they come here.

Trip to Hot Springs
Mar 23rd, 2010 by Lou

On Monday, we took a trip to Hot Springs.  This was the first stop on our Spring Break Tour.

Our first stop was to the Fordyce Bathhouse.  We read online were you can go to the visitors center and get a book.   All you had to do was fill it out and come back to receive you Junior Park Ranger badge.  It was kind of like a scavenger hunt.    They had lots of fun doing that.

Ashton was probably the only kid sitting down watching the movie about how they took baths.  It sat through the whole thing.

After touring the Fordyce Bathhouse and receiving their Junior Park Ranger Badges, we decided to hike.  I should have never mentioned this to Michael.   He went a little overboard, like walking to the top of the mountain.

It started out being a nice brick walk.

That didn’t last long.  Our trail turned to gravel and steep hills.   I was told not to worry because Michael has his GPS.

Ashton died about half-way up.

We finally made it to the top.

The trip was worth because in the end Ashton and Kaylee both became Junior Park Rangers.
