Summer Vacation Day 5
Jun 25th, 2009 by Lou

Seems like it is taking forever to get all this posted. One would think that being a teacher and being off for the summer, I could keep up. Nope, not at all!

Day 5 was our day that we travel to the grandparents in Casscoe. We are dropping the kids off for the weekend while Michael and I head to West Memphis for his 10 year old high school reunion. The kids enjoyed their time they had for the weekend.

Summer Vacation Day 4
Jun 23rd, 2009 by Lou

I always say that something major happens while on vacation with the Arnolds. Being the last full day of the trip, I just knew that this trip was going to be problem free. WRONG!!!

First of all, we tried to go fishing. Not realizing that Murfreesboro has a dam and that provides for trout fishing. Stupid me didn’t realize that you had to have an extra add-on for your fishing license for that. That is just stupid. Anyways we finally found a place far enough for fishing that would not include fishing for trout. This was after driving around for a couple of hours. No fish were biting, probably because we were too loud. On a brighter note we got to feed the ducks. Things were looking up.

Later on the night, major drama hit. I thought we might get a divorce over this one. A storm came up. It was going to be a bad one. My iPhone told me that. I wanted to go sleep in the car instead of the tent. Michael was not wanting to do that because he was worried about the tent. Basically I told him I didn’t care about the tent because I could buy another one. The kids and I were going to the car rather Daddy did or not. He finally decided to join us. So after about midnight is was all over and we went back to our lovely home for the night….the tent.

Summer Vacation Day 3
Jun 19th, 2009 by Lou

So glad we only had enough money to dig for diamonds on one day. Thank you Jesus! Today was the day we went to the water park. Crater of Diamonds State Park as installed a very nice splash park. Hopefully, Monticello can make theirs half as good. Before hitting the splash park we went on a nature hike. Did I mention it was 2 miles? Did I also mention that was with a 5 year old and a 2 year old? See what happens when we listen to Michael.

Kaylee loved the playground.

I think she picked up every pine cone on the nature trail.

Kaylee loved riding on her Daddy’s shoulders.

Ashton was amazed by all the uprooted trees on the trail.

Now to the water park. I think it was absolutely the best part of the trip.
