The Christmas Story Musical–December 21st
Dec 30th, 2008 by Lou

My kids were involved in a musical at our church, Journey Church.  They had a blast reinacted the story of the birth of Jesus.

The story started off with an angel (Adelyn Noble) telling Mary (Kynlee Files) that she was going to have a baby.

Mary and Joseph are looking for a place to say.  Notice the lost sheep in the corner that is running away.  You guessed it.  That is Kaylee.

Jesus is born.

All the angels.

Ashton laughing because Carter said his line.  Also notice the lost sheep trying to run away again.

King Herod asking the Wise Men to go and find the Baby Jesus for him.

The wise men are bringing gifts to Jesus.

The children of Journey had a great time and worked really hard on this production.  I am very proud of them.

Lake Village Christmas–December 20th and 24th
Dec 29th, 2008 by Lou

We had two Christmas with my Lake Village family.  One with my brother and his new fiance and soon to be step son.  The one with my nephews and their Mom.

Ashton could not wait for Uncle Ralph to get here.   He kept asking all day long.  Ashton got lots a great gifts from him.   His long awaited for camouflage coat, a Ford camouflage hat, The Incredible Hulk gloves, and Bakugons.

Kaylee racked up from Uncle Ralph.  She got a tricycle, baby doll accessories (high chair, stroller, swing, carrier) and a red wagon.  What more could a girl need?

Aunt Nette also did a great job.  Kaylee loves babies.  She got a baby Alive.  This baby doll actually wears diapers and needs to be changed.  So needless to say Kaylee is driving me nuts with the Baby needs a new diaper.

Ashton got a laptop from Aunt Nette.  He loves this laptop because he can play about 80 different educational games and he can learn Spanish.

Journey Church Dirty Santa–December 17
Dec 28th, 2008 by Lou

On December 17th, our church had a great time playing Dirty Santa and eating potluck.   Here are some great pics, thanks to Michael Dodson.  It was nice to not have to take pictures.

Eric was our entertainment for the evening.  Of course, he always included the kids.  They had a great time singing Christmas carols.

Still couldn’t understand a pastor drinking egg nog.  He told me that there was nothing added.  I will just have to trust him.

Drawing for numbers to see when we go for Dirty Santa.  Tracy Reed got number one.  I think he rigged it or something.

I think they are up to something.

Michael got popcorn balls.  Great idea from the Nobles.  We couldn’t give those things away.

Jeremy must have fotten something good.

Jeremy is wondering what in the world he got.  Everyone should know that it is a homemade baby doll.

This was my favorite picture of the evening.  Ashton and Drew decided that they would crawl into a chair that had a chair on top of it.  I love seeing these two play.  Ashton loves him some Drew.
